Rome Free Academy Stadium
June 7, 2022
Within days of approval of a $126,063 project to shore up Rome Free Academy Stadium, 500 Turin St., a construction crew was on site to begin the installation of temporary shoring. The project architect from LaBella Associates, DPC, the district's architect of record, will work with contractor, National Building and Restoration Corp. to complete the work in time for the commencement event at the Turin Road facility on Saturday, June 25. In recent years, the venerable Rome Free Academy Stadium has suffered from a series of issues, including mold growing from leaks in the stadium seating membrane and crumbling concrete in the seating area.(Sentinel photo by John Clifford)
